Mr. Hwang graduated from Seoul National University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He began his legal career at FirstLaw P.C. as a patent attorney (byulisa) after passing the 50th Patent Attorney Exam. He then moved on to complete his Juris Doctor degree at Yonsei University Law School in 2020, after which he practiced intellectual property law and corporate litigation at DR&AJU, one of the largest and fastest growing firms in the Korean legal sector, prior to founding the Firm.
Taking full advantage of his engineering degree and his background as a patent attorney, Mr. Hwang currently focuses his practice on representing and advising corporate clients in connection with ICT-related disputes, both civil and criminal. In addition, Mr. Hwang advises clients on (among others) intellectual property laws, trade secrets, unfair competition, and data protection laws, and represents clients in relevant civil and criminal proceedings.
